WELCOME TO OXFORD INSPECTION SERVICES
A Home Is A Complex Structure - Your Inspection Report Should Not Be
Your inspection report will be concise, thorough, and easy to read with photos and prioritized summaries.
It will describe any deficiencies discovered during the inspection, explain what caused the conditions, and make recommendations regarding improvements.
Experience and Expertise
With every inspection comes years of experience as a general contractor, ongoing technical training, and expertise acquired during over 4,300 documented Home Inspections. This practical experience is reflected in my inspection reports, which consistently exceed the highest industry standards.Georgia is one of 23 states that does not have a minimum competency standard for home inspectors or require Home Inspectors to be certified. Don't compromise in one of the most important services in your home buying experience. When shopping around, ask the inspectors questions about their experience and qualifications before scheduling your appointment.
I follow State and Federal laws, and the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI®) Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice in all of my business practices. To that end, I clearly define and consistently deliver on the scope of my inspection so that my clients know what to expect from every inspection that I provide.
ASHI Certified Inspector
I am proud to be a Certified Member of The American Society of Home Inspectors® (ASHI®), America's oldest and most respected non-profit professional association for independent home inspectors. Membership requires passing two monitored exams and completion of a minimum of 250 peer reviewed Inspection Reports. Since its inception in 1976, the ASHI Standards of Practice has served as a universally recognized and accepted performance guideline by professionals and government authorities.ASHI's professional Code of Ethics prohibits Members from engaging in conflict of interest activities which might compromise their objectivity. This is the consumer's assurance that the inspector will not, for example, use the inspection to solicit or refer repair work.
Do you have to be there during the inspection?
It is not necessary for you to be present for the inspection, but it is recommended when possible. You will be able to observe the inspector and ask questions directly, as you learn about the condition of the home, how its systems work, and how to maintain it.
What if the inspection report reveals problems?
No house is perfect. If I identify problems, it doesn't necessarily mean you shouldn't buy the house, only that you will know in advance what to expect. If your budget is tight, or if you don't wish to become involved in future repair work, this information will be extremely important to you.Why should I have a new house inspected?
Many people mistakenly believe that they don't need an inspection on a new house. The misconception is understandable because as consumers we have been conditioned to believe that consumer products of all types will be delivered without defects. Unfortunately this is not true, especially in the new construction market. If the house proves to be in good condition, did I really need an inspection?
Absolutely. Now you can complete the purchase with full peace of mind. You will also have learned many things about your new home from the inspector's written report, and will want to keep that information for future reference.Payment
Payment of inspection fees are due and payable by cash or check upon completion of the inspection. If you prefer, you can pay for our services by credit card or PayPal.Serving Southeast Georgia & The South Carolina Low Country
